Every five years, the local Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan is updated and submitted to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The plan addresses threats from potential hazards and identifies possible strategies to reduce impacts.
This year, Yolo County, the cities of Davis, West Sacramento, Winters and Woodland, the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, Yolo County Housing, and the Yolo County Office of Education are completing a combined Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan. As part of the plan update process, the public is encouraged to attend one of two public meetings where information about the plan, including the hazards identified, will be discussed. Upcoming Hazard Mitigation Plan public meetings are listed below:
Tuesday, December 6, 6:00 -7:00 p.m.
Herbert Bauer Health and Alcohol, Drug & Mental Health Building
137 North Cottonwood Street, Woodland
Wednesday, December 7, 6:00 -7:00 p.m.
