Elephant Climbing Structure/Sculpture to be unveiled at Emile Boisclair Park

Almost two years ago, a large Paradox Walnut tree had to be removed as part of the Bridge District Sewer Lift Station Project.  West Sacramento Conservancy and the City of West Sacramento agreed that the wood from the tree should be offered to local artists and made into pieces for the public to enjoy.  This elephant, carved by Sacramento artist, Adam Bradley is the largest piece to be completed.  The finished sculpture which is also meant to be climbed by children, will be unveiled during a ceremony on Wednesday, July 24th at 5:00 p.m.  If you  have questions, please call (916) 617-4629.
