Westfield Village Street Rehabilitation Project—Road Work Schedule

Work is underway Oct. 7 on the final phases of the Westfield Village Street Rehabilitation Project (see map link below).  If road work is scheduled on your street, you’re asked to avoid parking on the road from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. When asphalt grinding and cleanup is completed, you may park on the street again once Martin Brothers, the project contractor, opens your section of the road. When the slurry seal operations occur Monday, Oct. 14, the roads will be closed completely. Once the material has had ample time to setup, the City will reopen the road to normal use.

Please be advised: due to the nature of the asphalt mix material, it is extremely hot when it is placed. Please keep your family, children and pets away from the newly placed asphalt. The City does not allow vehicles to drive on the new slurry so that it can setup property, and to prevent the slurry from being tracked into your driveways or your residence, or splattered onto your vehicles. The road project schedule has been coordinated with the Washington Unified School District to accommodate bus schedules and normal Waste Management trash pickup.

If you have questions, or special access requirements, contact Martin Brothers’ Brian Choate, (916) 381-0911 or the City’s Construction Operations Manager Drew Gidlof, (916) 617-4515.
