SOLES4SOULS® JOINS KEEP CALIFORNIA BEAUTIFUL AND STORAGEPRO FOR SHOE RECYCLING CAMPAIGN

Residents in Northern California can participate in a joint effort to recycle unwanted shoes for a limited time.  Soles4Souls, the international shoe charity, announced their Turn Up The Sole campaign 2013, in California in partnership with Keep California Beautiful (www.keepcabeatiful.org) and StoragePro, 21st and R Self Storage and RV Storage.

The charity’s recycling initiative is connecting thousands of individuals around the Golden state to recycle their new or gently worn shoes.  Since Soles4Souls accept all types of shoes: athletic, running, dress, sandals, pumps, heels, work boots, cleats, dance, flip flops, which are new or gently worn for reuse; as well as well-worn shoes or single shoes that can be recycled; there is a fantastic option for Californians to take part in the reuse program which reduces the strain on our local environment and conserves natural resources.

From now through November 15th, individuals, organizations and businesses in West Sacramento can drop off their shoes at the following locations:

  • City Hall (1st floor by Public Works Counter), 1110 West Capitol Ave.
  • The Community Center, 1075 West Capitol Ave.
  • The Recreation Center, 2801 Jefferson Blvd.
