Clarksburg Branch Pedestrian and Bike Trail Improvement Project

Construction of the Clarksburg Branch Pedestrian and Bike Trail Project is nearly complete.  The project provides a paved walkway, connector trails, and signage. See Vicinity map . For everyone’s safety, please obey posted construction signs and avoid using the trail during construction.

 

 

 

A trail opening ceremony is scheduled for Jan. 31, 10 a.m.

The multi-modal project is funded by a Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) improvement federal grant and includes the following:

  • The main trail will feature a paved 10-foot wide pathway and a 4-foot wide aggregate base shoulder to the east;
  • Five connector trails to Stonegate Drive, Southport Town Center, Trinity Way, River City High School / City Recreation Center, Cherokee Road;
  • ADA compliant upgrades to existing concrete flatwork; and
  • Installation of signage, striping, pavement markings and other related improvements.
