Finding Local Resources is as Easy as Dialing “211”

211 YoloGet connected, get answers—by calling “211.” 2-1-1 is a community resource call center and information hub that connects people to local resources, 24 hours a day. The resource database is maintained and updated by 211 staff. It also provides multilingual services.

211 Yolo has built a network of local service organizations and agencies to assist the public in reaching timely and accurate information. As new community needs develop, 211 Yolo can find the helpful resources. The reverse is also true, where 211 Yolo can let outside resources know about 211’s assistance.

Last year, 211 Yolo provided resource assistance to over 3,300 callers in need of health and human services. The primary resources searched by 211 for its clients last year were the categories of Food Pantries, Utility Service Payment Assistance, and Rent Payment Assistance. Other resources sought by the public included clothing, veteran assistance, housing and family violence prevention.

All data resources are checked before they’re added to the 211 database. Callers can be sure to receive valuable and relevant information at their request, day and night.
