Community Emergency Response Team Training Offered in March

CERT_logoThe West Sacramento Fire Dept. (WSFD) has scheduled Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training program for March, during the period March 17-March 28. The program educates and prepares citizens for basic emergency disaster response skills such as fire safety, light search and rescue and disaster medical operations. Completing the CERT training will enable you to help protect your family, neighbors and co-workers if a disaster occurs. Keep in mind, in most disasters, citizens will likely be on their own during the first hours. Here’s a good way to know what to do. And the CERT training is free of charge!

The CERT class consists of:

  • Disaster Preparedness
  • Fire Safety
  • Hazardous Materials
  • Basic Medical Skills
  • Light Search and Rescue
  • CERT Organization
  • Psychological First Aid
  • Homeland Security
  • And a Final Exercise.
