  • Ohana Dance Group, Saturday, May 9, 2 p.m. Children and families are invited to experience the Ohana Dance Group, in celebration of Asian/Pacific Heritage Month.
  • All Things String, Thursday May 14 and Wednesday, May 27, 6 p.m. Whether you knit, crochet, embroider, or enjoy other fiber arts, this social crafting circle is for you. Bring your current project or start something new.
  • Master Gardeners, Saturday, May 16, 2 p.m. Back by popular demand, the Yolo County Master Gardeners are back to help get your garden in shape. No registration required.
  • Tails for Tales, Monday, May 18, 4 p.m. School-age children are invited to visit the Turner Library and practice reading with a therapy dog.
  • What’s Happening Seniors, Wednesday, May 20, 11:30 a.m. A social club for older adults to discuss current events and timely issues.
  • Evening Book Club, Wednesday, May 20, 6 p.m. Join the monthly book club and explore new worlds. For information, call Cindy, (916) 731-5504.
  • Russian Story Time, Tuesdays, 6 p.m. Children and their families are invited to listen to stories and songs in Russian/
  • Buddy Reading, Mondays, 4:30 p.m. For kids in grades K-3. Practice reading with an older “buddy.” Each child will be paired up with a River City High School student “Interact Club” member for a 15-30 minute reading session.
