Come on out to the West Sacramento Farmers Market this Thursday, July 16, 4:30 p.m.-dusk. It’s a “Good Living” theme with demonstrations on the value of rain barrels during the drought, plus greywater use, and composting tips. The Farmers Market is located on West Capitol Ave., in front of City Hall.
Shop for fresh produce from local farmers including Loving Nature Farm: melons, berries, broccoli, cabbage, cucumbers and tomatoes;Flowerstone Farm: leafy greens, cilantro, radishes and tomatoes; and Root Cause Farm: potatoes, leafy greens, spices, carrots, peas and squash. And be sure to stop by the City of West Sacramento information booth for tips on how to conserve water at home during the drought.
