Water-Saving Mulch available to West Sacramento Community

Tree mulch will be available for FREE to West Sacramento residents starting today, July 22nd ,1 p.m., at 1801 West Capitol Ave. Residents are asked to enter the empty lot on West Capitol and exit onto Merkley. Limit is one cubic yard per household. It is suggested you place the mulch around the base of your trees to benefit them during our drought to conserve water, reduce weed growth, and to improve the fertility and health of the soil. Place a 4’ diameter circle, 3” deep at the base of your tree, keeping the mulch 3” from the trunk of the trees as shown below:


Then self-served free mulch giveaway will continue daily throughout the summer.
