Heads up! Two road projects will likely cause local traffic delays tomorrow, October 17.
The Sacramento Bridge Maintenance Department will be performing emergency repairs on the I Street Bridge beginning at 7 a.m. Crews will be fixing rails that have been damaged on the Sacramento side at the intersection of I street Bridge and Jaboom Street. One lane will be closed but traffic will be guided across the bridge with assistance of traffic control flaggers.
Also, South River Road in West Sacramento is scheduled for slurry sealing Saturday. This repaving work also applies to adjacent parking areas from 15th Street south to the Mike McGowan Bridge.
The road is being resurfaced as a part of the Westfield Village Street Rehabilitation Project – Phase II. Lane closures will begin at 6 a.m. and the work is expected to take all day. Extensive delays are expected during this phase of work. Please use alternative routes and avoid the construction zone.
