Capri Mobile Home Park is the first park in PG&E’s service area to participate in a statewide pilot program to upgrade public safety and service reliability by replacing the aging gas and electric infrastructure. The program converts the old master-metered system to individual home meters. This process took exceptional cooperation and patience from park owners, park residents, California Public Utilities Commission, Department of Housing and Community Development, PG&E, contractors and the City Building Division. A ribbon cutting was held recently for all to celebrate the completion of the project located at 504 Glide Avenue. This upgrade will also bring other potential benefits to the residents who may now be eligible for PG&E programs which could save them money.
