Clean up Week is New & Improved!!!

New Days: The City will be hosting four residential Bulky Waste Drop-off events in 2016. Spring events are scheduled for Saturday, May 21st (9am-2pm) and Saturday, June 18th, 2016. Click here to view the event flyer.

New Acceptable Items: The following items are now accepted at our Bulky Waste Drop-off Events:  E-Waste, Appliances, Scrap Metal, Mattresses & Box Springs and Children’s Car Seats in additional to the items previously accepted: cardboard, furniture, tires, clean wood (NO yard waste), ridged plastic and bulky items too large to fit into a residential trash or recycling cart.

Click here to view a full list of acceptable items.

New Location: The Drop-off Event location is now 1951 South River Rd.  Please access the site by heading North from the Mike McGowan Bridge to avoid making a left turn into the event yard.

The Environmental Services Division provides the bulky waste drop-off event to help West Sacramento residents keep their property and neighborhoods free from accumulated waste. While we strive to provide a program that can accommodate every waste type, there are some materials that we are unable to accept at this event.  Most unacceptable items may be taken to the Yolo County Central Landfill for recycling or disposal.  The landfill is located at 44090 County Road 28H, Woodland, CA  95776.  Please call the landfill at (530) 666-8729 or visit: for additional information.

If you are a senior citizen or a disabled resident, you may be eligible for a free bulky item pick up.

Please call 617-4589 or e-mail for more information about Clean Up Week.
