Got Junk? Bulky Waste Drop Off Events Set For October

Capture

The City of West Sacramento is hosting fall bulky waste drop-off event for 2 days only:  Saturday, October 1 and Saturday, October 15, from 9am to 2pm.  West Sacramento residents can drop off bulky items free of charge at our new event location, 1951 South River Road. (We ask residents to approach the event yard heading north across the Mike McGowan Bridge so they can make a right turn into the event yard.) The list of acceptable items now includes appliances, scrap metal, and e-waste, in addition to furniture, mattresses, cardboard, and tires (9 tire per trip limit).  Proof of West Sacramento residency, city utility bill or driver’s license, is required to enter the site.

If you are a senior (age 65 or older) or a resident with a disability, and are unable to drive, you may qualify for a free bulky waste pick-up appointment.

Yard waste is not accepted at the clean-up event and may be recycled at the Yolo County Central Landfill using the landfill voucher included in the August or September residential utility bill.  The voucher is valid for one residential load of wood and/or green waste or garbage.
