Voting for the 2016 presidential election begins Tuesday, November 8. Protect your right to vote – you must be registered in the county where you live. If you move or change your name you must re-register. Registering is easy:
- Pick up a registration card at your local post office, the Arthur Turner Library located at 1212 Merkley Avenue, or the City Clerk’s office located at 1110 West Capitol Avenue.
- Fill out the California On-line Voter Registration form at the Secretary of State’s web site. If you have a valid California driver’s license or state ID, your registration will be forwarded directly to Yolo Elections with your signature automatically appended. Otherwise, a registration card with your information will be printed and mailed to you for you to sign and return.
- If you are in the military or overseas you may download and fill out the Federal Post Card Application form at the Federal Voter Assistance Program web site.
