Take Class to Meet Upcoming California Boater Card Requirement

Beginning January 2018 those who operate a boat with an engine will be required to carry a California Boater Card. The easiest way to qualify for a Boater Card is to attend an eight hour course approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA). The City of West Sacramento Parks and Recreation has partnered with the Coast Guard to offer the course “Boating Safety” which is approved by the NASBLA.  

What: Boating Safety course for California Boater Card qualification 

When: Saturday, July 8, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. 

Where: West Sacramento Community Center 1075 West Capitol Ave.

How to register: $8.00 prior registration required.
