City Upgrades Open Data Portal

The Information Technology Division has just completed a major upgrade to the City’s open data portal that will provide better service to the community and support the Council’s Smart City effort.

The West Sacramento Open Government Hub is the City’s public platform for exploring, visualizing, and downloading open data.  The community now has access to online applications that help residents engage with the City.  Data can be used to create maps, as well as develop new web and mobile applications.

This new platform is a one-stop shop that allows users to explore the City’s public GIS data, access City financial data, connect with the City to report a problem or make a suggestion, file a public records request, or apply for or renew a business license. More applications are being created and will be available soon.
