Sign Up for Emergency Alerts

The Northern California fires are a good reminder about the importance of receiving timely emergency information to keep your family safe.

The City of West Sacramento, in cooperation with the Yolo County Office of Emergency Services is part of a mass notification system called Yolo Alerts. We encourage all residents to sign up for these alerts here:

The process is easy, and might save lives.

You can also get alerts by texting your zip code to 888777 through the Nixle system.

Alerts and notifications through these system include time-sensitive messages about fires, flooding, levee failures, severe weather, disaster events, unexpected road closures, missing persons and evacuations of buildings and neighborhoods in specific geographic locations.
