FREE SHADE: Free Trees and Tree Care Education to Homes and Businesses

The West Sacramento Tree Program continues to provide free trees to homes and businesses. To qualify for up to 2 large, fifteen gallon, trees with stakes, you must attend a workshop where tree planting and tree care information is provided. There are 10 species of trees to choose from. Specific species were chosen based on their resistance to pests and diseases, structural integrity, and friendly root systems.  Within two weeks, the trees will be delivered to your home or business. FREE SHADE workshops are scheduled for Wednesday, November 7th, 2012, Wednesday, January 9th 2013 and Wednesday, March 6th, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the Community Center at 1075 West Capitol Avenue, in the River Room on the first floor. During the workshop you will learn how to plant and maintain your new trees for maximum growth and health. Space is limited. Contact us today to reserve your space in the next workshop. 617-4620.
