Community Forum on Business Plan for Port of West Sacramento, Jan. 22

On Tuesday, Jan. 22, 5 p.m., a community forum has been scheduled at the West Sacramento Community Center, 1075 West Capitol Ave., West Sacramento 95691 on the subject of the proposed Business Plan for the Port of West Sacramento.

Invited to attend are members of the West Sacramento City Council, the Economic Development Advisory Commission, and the Sacramento-Yolo Port District Commission, along with residents and members of the business community, and other stakeholders. The goal of the Business Plan is to set forth a strategy to implement a new operating model which results in the Port becoming financially self-sufficient while remaining a long-term economic and community asset to the City of West Sacramento.

City and Port staff will present information on the Port’s financial status, cargo and real estate, and potential operating models for the Port, and will respond to questions and seek input from the public to assist in developing the Business Plan.

No specific actions are expected to be adopted at this informational forum. For more information, contact Aaron Laurel, (916) 617-4575 or Rick Toft, (916) 617-48880.
