Special Programs in June at the Turner Library

The Arthur F. Turner Community Library has several special programs in June for children, teens and families:

• Hansel and Gretel Puppet Show, Monday, June 11, 3 p.m.

• Spaghetti and Marshmallow Contest, Thursday, June 13, 3 p.m. Teens are invited to work as individuals or groups to build the tallest spaghetti tower!

• Yolo County Master Gardeners, Saturday, June 15, 10 a.m. The West Sacramento Chapter of the Master Gardeners will teach you how to deal with garden pests. Gardeners can also answer general gardening questions afterwards.

• Juneteenth Film Screening, Saturday, June 15, 2 p.m. A special film celebrating Juneteenth. Check out the Turner Library’s related display.

• Suisun Wildlife Center—Wildlife Rescued, Tuesday, June 18, 3 p.m. Children and families are invited to a one hour live presentation on the wildlife rescue work of the Suisun Wildlife Center. Program includes non-releasable native California wildlife.

• Tasty Stories, Tuesday, June 25, 3 p.m. Children and families are invited to a dramatic reading of the “Magic Porridge Pot,” “The Three Bears,” and “Jack and the Beanstalk”, followed by the planting of bean seeds for children to take home.
