Thursdays on West Capitol Avenue: The Farmers Market!

West Sacramento Farmers Market LogoThe West Sacramento Farmers Market is open for business on Thursdays, 4:30 p.m. to dusk. The location is West Capitol Avenue, in the middle of the Civic Center in front of City Hall and the Community Center. The season continues into September. Remember the Farmers Market for farm-fresh food and local restaurants and food trucks.

Thursday, Aug. 1: The “DigIn!”  Dinner at the Market, with Yolo County Supervisor Mike McGowan and Patrick Mulvaney of Mulvaney’s.

Easy Parking at City Hall for the Farmers Market.  There’s plenty of parking in the City Hall parking lot for the Farmers Market. It’s easy to find: Please enter City Hall thru the regular west entrance off West Capitol Avenue. Parking spaces extend north of the entrance, as well as on the east side of City Hall. When exiting the parking lot, please use the east exit onto West Capitol Avenue east, or south to Merkley Avenue which continues to Jefferson Boulevard. Thanks for visiting the West Sacramento Farmers Market this season. (Note: east- and west-bound traffic on West Capitol Avenue will be closed in front of City Hall and the Community Center between 2:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Thursdays.)

The City of West Sacramento and the Yolo County Transportation District played key roles in relocating the market to the Civic Center, using both sides of West Capitol Avenue between City Hall and the Community Center. Thru-traffic heading east and west can use Merkley Avenue, one block south of West Capitol Avenue, to bypass West Capitol Avenue.
