Publishing the First Draft of History since 1964 – A Tribute to The News-Ledger

West Sacramento Historical SocietyThe News-Ledger has been covering the news in West Sacramento since 1964. It’s been said that newspapers publish the “first draft of history.” In honor of its 50th anniversary, The News-Ledger will be the subject of an exhibit presented by the West Sacrament Historical Society.  The exhibit will be on display in the Community Center History Gallery, 1075 West Capitol Ave, April 3-Aug. 1, 2014.

The public is invited to an opening reception for The News-Ledger exhibit, Thursday, April 3, 4 p.m.-7 p.m. in the Community Center. The display continues during the Community Center’s regular hours, Mondays thru Thursdays, 8 a.m.-7:30 p.m.; Friday’s 8 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; closed Saturdays and Sundays; phone: (916) 617-4620.
