Caltrans Fix 50 Project is Ahead of Schedule: Next Phase to Begin Thursday Night (5/01/2014) with Additional Ramp and Connector Closures

Fix 50Caltrans announced yesterday that its Fix50 project is ahead of schedule. The project will move to the next phase (Eastbound Phase 2) on Thursday night, five days ahead of schedule.

There are additional traffic restrictions during Eastbound Phase 2 due to additional ramp closures. According to Caltrans, the following ramps and connectors will be closed throughout Phase 2:

Eastbound Highway 50 On-Ramp closures:

  • 11th Street On-Ramp
  • 16th Street On-Ramp

Eastbound Highway 50 Connectors to:

  • Southbound Highway 99
  • Eastbound Business 80 (Capital City Freeway)

This phase of construction is expected to last fifteen days after which all lanes in both direction will remain open until after Memorial Day weekend.
