Special Programs at the Arthur F. Turner Community Library this August

Check out the Arthur F. Turner Community Library for a series of special programs in August 2014:

  • Computer Class August 4th at 9am
    Visit or call the Library to learn about the topic this month. No experience necessary. Call 916-375-6465 to register.
  • All Things String August 14th and 27th 6pm
    Whether you knit, crochet, embroider, or enjoy other fiber arts, this social crafting circle is for you! Bring your current project or start something new!
  • Where Were You When? August 20th at 11am
    This social group for older adults will start each session with a historic event to spark discussion.
  • Tales for Tails August 25th at 4pm
    School aged children are invited to come to the Library and practice reading with a therapy dog.
  • Adult Summer Reading: Mobile Device Petting Zoo August 28th at 6pm
    Learn about the various mobile devices, and how to download free e-books and audiobooks from the library.
  • English Conversation Groups
    Practice English in a fun and relaxed environment. Drop-in visitors are welcome.
    o Tuesdays at 6:30pm
    o Thursdays at 4pm
    o Fridays at 10am
  • Weekly Story Times
    Spanish/English Story Time – Saturdays at 11:30am
    Russian Story Time – Wednesdays at 6:30pm
    Family Story Time – Saturdays at 10:30am
