I Street Bridge Replacement Project – Community Open House Thursday, Oct. 9

The Cities of West Sacramento and Sacramento are holding a second open house meeting to provide an update on the I Street Bridge Replacement Project.  A new low-level, neighborhood friendly bridge upstream of the I Street Bridge is being planned to provide better access for bicycles and pedestrians, and serve motorists more efficiently.

Please attend the Environmental Scoping Meeting, Thursday, Oct. 9, 3:30 – 6:30 p.m., located at Stanford Gallery, 111 I Street, Sacramento. A walking tour will begin at 5:30 p.m.

The project is entering the environmental assessment phase and this meeting is an opportunity for the public to provide comments or concerns related to potential environmental effects of the project. Input received will become part of the public record and will be considered during environmental studies.

Staffed information stations with maps and other project materials will be available from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. Join the project team for a walking tour to view the bridge location at 5:30 p.m. The tour will feature project area highlights and be approximately one mile, mostly on paved surfaces. Please wear comfortable shoes.
